People's Rights Organization, PRO is a non-partisan, non-profit, voluntary, membership and non-governmental organization established to educate and empower African people with knowledge of all their Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms to enable them defend same, maximize their potentials and secure quality life of Human Dignity.
BACKGROUND
The vision of Peoples Rights Organization, PRO was received in 1993, while the founder, Bar, Chris I.C Nwadigo was a staff Attorney with Civil Liberties Organization, CLO, one of the foremost African NGOs. He had to undergo further and better training both in other Human Rights Organizations and even Bible School to receive more Divine Direction of the vision. The vision which is summarized as empowering my people with knowledge of their Rights to enable them maximize their potentials and live in Dignity never started until January, 1998 when the urge to start became irresistible. PRO started in the founders Law office in Lagos, Nigeria in company of Pastor Charles Ikoh; a journalist and another fellow:

VISION :
To build a Human Rights culture in Africa through imparting knowledge and skills and moulding of attitudes aimed at: Full development of Human personality and his/her sense of Dignity to enable them maximize their potentials optimally, while eradicating illiteracy and ignorance.
